The best METALIUM show was in ROCK MACHINA 2000,
when we played in front of 8000 METAL-crazy Spanish fans... we had only
played 3 club shows in 1999 supporting Primal Fear. So we did NOT expect
any BIG reaction for the first festival... BUT the audience just BLEW
us away.
The promoter (which was Locomotive Music) was obviously also overwhelmed
of the reaction for "this small German Newcomer" and offered
us directly a DVD-deal which should contain this legendary shot besides
other stuff af full colour concept comic and Live CD... the rest is history.
An it's called: "METALIAN ATTACK 1999-2001 Part one".

Henning Basse - Metalium
Well as i can say, it was Moncofa 2000 in
Spain Valencia.
Standing right in front of this energetic crowd, hungry for Metalium.
(something about 12000 People). These are the moments in life where nobody
and nothing, can give something different. That night we left the stage
as rich and proud warriors. They knew all the lyrics, and at the end of
the concert they raised (Fucking everybody) the hands while doing the
Metalium sign.So from the begining
to the end quite incredible. As the intro started people went nuts for
this Band,you can`t expect more.....

Alexander Beyrodt - Silent Force
My best show over? This is so hard to pick.
I would say: Silent Force, Paris, NTS Festival
1.3.2001. Why? Because the crowd was absolutely fantastic, the
sound on stage was perfect and so we had much fun. The magic and the chemistry
in the band was perfect.
Some of the guys had tears in their eyes after the show. It was one of
the most intense gigs in my life.

Uli Kusch - Masterplan
First til last show in Europe with Masterplan cause they rule.
I feel free now....its a bit simple but its not...

Anneke van Giersbergen - the Gathering
We played in Mexico a few years back for
the first time. It was amazing how the people reacted when we got on stage!
with all the flash lights of the
pictures that were being taken, we thought something went wrong with the
stroboscope-light of our light engineer... People in Mexico are so warm
hearted.
It is a pleasure to play there!

Jeff Waters - Annihilator
The Marquis in London
1990 and 1991. Both gigs were insane.
The 1990 gig was cool cause it was our first gig there and our popularity
was huge in England. The fans were ALL INSANE. The next one in 1991 was
the last show for us after our Judas Priest painkiller Europe support
slot; perfect way to end a perfect tour!

Chris Bay - Freedom Call
Generally it`s not easy to mark out the best show .
We´ve could spend fantastic times with FC on tour, so we always
had great shows with exellent audiences.
But one of our most interesting concerts was in September 2002 in Bochum/Germany,
cause we could play our first headlinertour and this was the only one
show in Germany.
So a lot of friends of Freedom Call we`re travelling from all over Germany
to see us on stage. We played closed to 2 hours !! and we had an fantastic
party this evening...

Cédric Dupond - Freedom Call/Symphorce
A gig that I have been to was:
Dream Theater - 1998 - Stuttgart/Germany, ....that one was one of my best
ones ever....
And a gig that we played ourself, that still reminds me of very good
things was:
Freedom Call: - Madrid/Spain 2002
Symphorce: - Metal Dayz- Pratteln Z7/Switzerland
2001

Daniel Zimmermann - Freedom Call
The best live gig I ever played was on the "Rock
Machina" Festival in Moncofa, Spain
on the 28th of July 2001 as the drummer of Gamma Ray. In my opinion this
was one of the most powerful and one of the tightest shows the band ever
played.
Everybody in the band did an extraordinary performance. This has to do
of course with the great audience always in Spain.12.000 Headbangers gave
us a warm welcome. On this day everything worked well for us, we were
in a relaxed mood, the crew did a very good and professional job for us,
the sound on stage was perfect. I'll never forget this show.

Tony Kakko - Sonata Arctica
The very first Stratovarius show I saw in
Oulu, Finland, on their Visions -tour. We
drove more than 100km south to see the show and it was great!
I managed to get a drumstick from Jörg(on the fly!) and autographs
from all. Jens and Kotipelto took some photos with my camera to prove
it.
What a night! I´ve never had such a great feeling on gig, before
or after.
Funny huh.

Peter Wiberg - Freternia
I have problems chosing between two gigs.
My former band Unholy Wizard had a great evening in Dalsjöparken
in May 2000. We had a very special and unique chemistry around that time.
But I also want to mention Freternia at Sweden Rock
Festival 2002, the last gig with with our dear drumming friend
Stefan Svantesson who had been in the band from the start. A special moment
for us, nice weather and great feedback from the audience.

Jan Bunning - Paragon
I think I speak in the name of the rest of the band when I say last year
in Barcelona on our European Tour with Gamma
Ray.
Before the gig I looked through a curtain into the crowd and became afraid
a little bit because there where 1800 crazy Spanish Metalheads just waiting
to be kicked in the ass. They cheered on every move we made and we really
had a good time and played the gig of our lives.
Also the aftershow party was really good - sex, drugs and Rock´n´Roll
(not necassarily in this order...).
But all gigs on the tour were very good and I have almost only good memories
of every gig we had because there is something good on every gig you make.
~ Asked by Mat, February 2003
Glen Drover - Eidolon
The best show i have ever been a part of for me, was with King Diamond
at the Sweden Rock Festival 2000. We headlined
the last day and played
in front of about 20,000 people. It was a great experience!!
~ Asked by Mat, February 2003
Snoppi - Wizard
Our best Gig was Wacken 2002 on the main
stage, cause the fans were crazy like hell!
Really everything was great: Fans, weather, pyros, sound, beer, methalheads!
Absolutely great!

Björn Goosses - Night In Gales
The best liveshow is always the next one.
~ Asked by Mat, May 2003
Lars Chriss - Lion´s Share
With LION'S SHARE, probably Sweden Rock Festival
2001 or one of the 16 Ice hall shows we did with DIO, MANOWAR,
MOTORHEAD. Why? Great, huge,
dedicated audience!
Best concert I've been to myself, probably QUEENSRYCHE,
Stockholm 1995 I think it was (Promised Land
tour).

Tony "Mad" Fonto - White Skull
The show in Tel Aviv at Bitan
40, because all was great!
~ Asked by Mat, February 2003
Aydan - Elvenking
Budapest, Sziget Pepsi Festival,
August 2002.
The night was great and the people went crazy...we didn't know what to
expect about the reaction of the crowd but it was amazing!
