1. Now when you have insight in the business - would you encourage your daughter or son to become a professional musician, or advice against it?

  • Thomas: We will steer her/him into anything they shows interest in. Sports, music, business etc... the important thing is that she does something she enjoys. Being a full time musician is great if you love the different aspects of it.

2. A metalsong you think "Man - I wish I'd written that one...." when you hear it?

  • Thomas: Hmmm..I never had this reaction to a song. When I hear a great some or piece of music I just smile, and think this is great! Of course the great classical composers come to mind but also some contemporary artists also.

3. The last album you bought/acquired, and your brief opinion about it?

  • Thomas: I purchased the album Xotica from Rene Dupere. He is one of my favorite composers.

4. If someone told you tomorrow that you can't be involved in music anymore, what do you see yourself doing in 5 years from now?

  • Thomas: Sportswear business, I am starting a company now with some partners. In the past I have worked with Kappa the soccer company.

5. Myself as a privat person in a few sentences?

  • Thomas: I like nature and spending time with family.

6. Unexpectedly and out of the blue you get a whole week totally off from music and work - what would you most of all want to do?

  • Thomas: Skiing in the mountains of Norway. My first trip to Norway for The Fourth Legacy writing sessions was fantastic. We went skiing in Trysil just North of the cabin we used to write the album.

7. Mp3 - an abomination or a good way to make your name and music heard?

  • Thomas: Good for unknown bands and artists. But I would say that the abuse of some people has hurt the music business. Hard to really say what the real impact on sales is.

8. What do you treasure most in your life, except metal and family?

  • Thomas: I would say my two cats Emory and Kaiya but they are family;) I guess it would be some of the heirlooms my father left me when he passed away. I was 13, at the time they did not mean as much as they do now.

9. An instrument you always wish that you started playing/learning, but never did?

  • Thomas: Yes! Piano. I play it now but I wish I had started to learn the basics on the keyboards. I actually started playing a saxophone at the age of 14 and eventually picked up the guitar. Maybe I would be in jazz band if I didn’t. haha.

10. Beer, whisky, wine or a cocktail in the tv sofa on a relaxed at-home-saturday night? Brand of the beverage?

  • Thomas: Depends on the mood. If I am watching a football game it’s an Amstel light or Warsteiner beer. Otherwise I like to have a glass of wine, usually a merlot.

11. Which historical person do you feel would fit best as a description on you as a person?

  • Thomas: James Bond ;) not very historical huh?

12. What most people don't know, never have known, and probably never would know about me if they don't read this?

  • Thomas: I am a closet architect.

13. If a famous actor were to play the part as you in a motion picture - who would be best suitable for that purpose, you think?

  • Thomas: Richard Gere.

14. What ingredient is the most important and vital of them all when making good music, according to you?

  • Thomas: Great chorus.

15. Your best advice to a person determined to make it in the metalbusiness?

  • Thomas: Do some homework on your craft and know the business side of it. Then set a goal and never give up! Peace!
